'Everyday I Wear A Greasy Black Feather On My Hat' is the debut album by Moondog Jr. and was originally released in 1995. It was the side project of then dEUS bassist Stef Kamil Carlens. Mid-1990s in full dEUS hype, the group from Island Uk got the chance to release this album. It was an instant success with radio hits like 'Tv Song' and 'Jintro & The Great Luna' being turned grey at the time.
Partly due to the huge success of this album, Carlens decided to leave dEUS and concentrate on his own band. A conflict with artist Louis T. Hardin, who went by the name Moondog, forced the band to change its name.
Renamed Zita Swoon, they would score many more successes in the future, but they were never able to match the spontaneity and originality of their debut album later on.
