Los Angeles, de stad waar Sergei Rachmaninoff de laatste maanden van zijn leven doorbracht, was in februari 2023 gastheer van een uitzonderlijk muziekfestival. De 150ste 'verjaardag' van de componist werd gevierd met een serie concerten met meesterpianist Yuja Wang, die zijn vier pianoconcerten en de Paganini Rhapsody uitvoerde met het Los Angeles Philharmonic onder leiding van Gustavo Dudamel.
