Christy Moore is an Irish folk musician/singersongwriter. In addition to an impressive solo career - he was part of the band Planxty for a time from 1972.
Much of his music has political overtones: the environment, social ills and poverty; in addition, his lifelong battle with alcohol is also a regular subject of his songs. On his albums, he regularly collaborates with other Irish artists such as Mary Black, The Dubliners, Sinead O'Connor. Moreover, early in his career, he often played during his gigs with his younger brother Barry - who later became known by his stage name Luka Bloom.
This first retrospective focuses on his solo career from 1969 to 1981. Album tracks and live recordings alternate. Many are released for the first time on these releases; some were only available on rare vinyl releases.
This 2LP contains 25 tracks (some of which were not previously released)
