Lisa Batiashvili celebrates love with 'Secret Love Letters'. She selected works by Chausson, Debussy, Franck and Szymanowski and performs them with the Philadelphia Orchestra, conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin. "There are so many hidden messages in music, things that cannot be put into words," says Lisa Batiashvili. "Something very clear unites the four pieces I chose for the album, by Chausson, Debussy, Franck and Szymanowski. It is the message of love that is there in music, in many different facets and colours, and so much of that message is secret and intimate." Yannick Nézet-Séguin, with whom she loves and often collaborates, is on the same wavelength: "One of my favourite quotes in life is that music begins where words end. What is so special about music is that it allows us to say things we sometimes cannot even say to ourselves."
