The CDs are comprised of the main album newly remastered, The Composer’s unreleased 2LP Version of Zoot Allures – “Night of The Iron Sausage,” plus bonus material featuring unheard studio outtakes from the album sessions, alternate mixes, radio ads, a complete concert recorded in Paris, France, March 1976, and “Son of Canard Du Jour” with newly-recorded bass by Zappa band alumnus, Arthur Barrow.
Blu-ray contains 192k/24b and 96k/24b high-res audio of the new main album remaster, ATMOS + 5.1 immersive audio mixes by Studio1LA, and 3 bonus audio tracks from the Box Set all with bespoke visualizers displaying rare and unseen photos.
The box is topped off with an expanded booklet containing rare outtakes from the album cover photo shoot by Gary Heery, additional archival images by Neil Zlozower, plus new essays from Vaultmeister Joe Travers, Jason Pettigrew, and original Zoot Allures album engineer Michael Braunstein.
