Paying tribute to Pavarotti’s hometown of Modena and the club he supported throughout his life, this design draws inspiration from the blue and yellow team colours, a 90s aesthetic, and features a repeating silhouette motif inspired by Pavarotti’s iconic stage presence.
Across the chest sits the word "Vincerò“ (“I will win“), the triumphant closing line from Nessun Dorma, the aria that became the soundtrack to a generation during the summer of 1990.
The number 90 appears prominently on the reverse, commemorating both Italia ’90, the World Cup that introduced Pavarotti to an unprecedented global audience, and the celebrations surrounding what would have been his 90th birthday year.
