Trumpeter Freddie
Hubbard burst out of the gates in the early 1960s with a run of hard bop
classics including Hub Cap, the first
album to showcase both his dynamic playing and compositional prowess. Bringing
the music to life was a sextet with Julian Priester,
Jimmy Heath, Cedar
Walton, Larry Ridley, and Philly Joe Jones.
