With her 5th studio album, "When I Look In Your Eyes", Diana Krall made a perfect debut on her new label Verve Records in 1999. Under the direction of legendary producer Tommy LiPuma, the Canadian pianist and singer showed herself from two sides: once with an orchestra arranged and conducted by Johnny Mandel, then again in a more intimate setting with changing duo, trio and quartet line-ups. The album earned Diana Krall her first Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album and was also nominated in the "Album of the Year" category.
