With this, Live captures the final years of the documented\r\ncinema in its original form.\r\nDORO had already gained recognition throughout Europe in the eighties as the frontwoman of\r\nWarlock. With albums such as Triumph and Agony (1987), which achieved gold status in\r\nGermany, songs like “All We Are” and “Für Immer” became defining milestones of the genre,\r\nwhile Warlock became one of the first German metal bands to achieve international success\r\nin the USA.\r\nIn the early nineties, Doro established herself as a solo artist, where DORO became a defining\r\nfigure for female-fronted metal. Her success paved the way for subsequent artists and\r\ncontributed to women in rock and heavy metal becoming more visible.\r\nAfter the dissolution of Warlock, DORO continued her career successfully as a solo artist and\r\nbuilt an international fan base. Live reflects this transitional phase, combining Warlock classics\r\nwith informal solo material and documenting the close connection between artist and audience.\r\nOver the years, DORO collaborated with artists such as Lemmy Kilmister (Motörhead), Sabina\r\nClassen (Holy Moses), Chris Caffery (Savatage), Mille Petrozza (Kreator), Tarja Turunen and\r\nmany others.
