40th anniversary editie van het album 'Hallowed Ground' uit 1984 van Violent Femmes. Het was de opvolger van het hun debuut album 'Violent Femmes. Net als bij hun debuut zijn alle nummer geschreven door leadzanger Gordon Gano terwijl hij op de middelbare school zat. Met tracks zoals 'Black Girls', 'Jesus Walking on the Water', 'I Hear The Rain' en 'Never Tell' sloegen ze andere weg in op hun tweede plaat. Voor deze uitgave is het album opnieuw gemastered van de originele tapes.
