Samara Joy (1998) has only just graduated, but already belongs to the promising new generation of jazz singers. Raised in musical family in New York, she now reaches millions of people worldwide with videos on her social media accounts. Well-known Hollywood actors Regina King and Lakeith Stanfield also revealed that they are fans. Some even compare her voice to that of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone or Sarah Vaughan. 'Linger Awhile' is her debut album on Verve Records on which she performs well-known jazz standards, including Can't Get Out Of This Mood and Sweet Pumpkin.
