Hans Rott's work has fallen into oblivion. The composer and organist, who lived to be no older than 25, won great admiration for his compositions from colleagues Bruckner and Mahler. Among other works, he left behind only one symphony. Performed convincingly on this album by the Bamberger Symfoniker led by chief conductor Jakub Hruša.
